Begin by mounting the sensor on top of the irrigation pipe. Make sure both straps are securely fastened underneath the pipe.

You'll see this symbol in the app/portal:

The sensor will automatically detect when irrigation starts. This may take up to 10 minutes.

1. Set an endepoint (optional)

Stand next to the reel and tap Set endpoint in the portal. The map will open.

Tap Get location at the bottom of the map – or simply tap on the map where the reel is located.

2. Monitor from your phone

While irrigating, you can easily follow the progress in the portal. You’ll see speed, estimated arrival time, and more.

Even if you’re not actively monitoring, you’ll still receive push notifications if something goes wrong.

3. Irrigation complete

When the reel reaches the endpoint and the water flow stops, the system will recognize that irrigation is finished. The event will then be saved in the Irrigation log.

You will see this symbol in the app/portal:

1. Position the reel and pull out the sprinkler

Place the reel where you want to start irrigation, and pull the sprinkler all the way out. Then press the button on the sensor (2). You will hear a beep, and the LED will start blinking.

The sensor is now listening for vibrations. You’ll see this symbol in the portal (3):

You now have 45 minutes to start the water before the sensor goes back to sleep mode.

2. Return to the reel and turn on the water

Once the water is running and the sensor detects vibration, you'll see this symbol in the portal/app:

The sensor is now in active irrigation mode, it listens for vibrations every second and reports GPS position every 10 minutes.

3. Set an endpoint (optional)

You can also start irrigation directly from the portal. This is not recommended, but available. Note that there may be a delay before the command is received.

1. Position the reel and pull out the sprinkler

Place the reel where you want to start irrigation, and pull the sprinkler all the way out. Then open the portal, select the correct sensor, and click Start irrigation.

The command is now queued and will be delivered the next time the sensor connects.

2. Wait for the sensor to receive the command

The response time depends on the sensor’s current state:

• During irrigation: typically within 5 minutes, or immediately if an event is detected (e.g. water loss or tilt)

• In idle mode: Approximately once per hour

For Start, this can result in a delay of up to 59 minutes before the sensor actually starts monitoring.

Once the command is received, the sensor will begin monitoring and you’ll see it update in the portal with this symbol:

• Before pressing the activation button, it is imperative to ensure that the irrigation trolley is fully extended to the designated starting position. Failing to do so may lead to inaccurate determination of the start and end points, consequently resulting in incorrect calculations of speed and time of arrival.

• If a definitive end point has not been established, the sensor will be unable to differentiate between a pressure drop signaling a fault and the completion of an irrigation cycle. Consequently, it will not record any data in the log until it has detected an absence of water for 45 minutes or until the reset button is pressed. It is important to note that rapidly relocating the hose reel may result in the new position being erroneously linked to the previous irrigation, leading to inaccurate map displays. Therefore, it is advisable to always define an endpoint.

• In the event of deficient coverage on either the GPS or IoT network, the sensor will make five attempts before ceasing and entering a ten-minute waiting period. This behavior may impact notifications related to points of interest (POIs), endpoints, speed calculations, and arrival times. Should you encounter these issues, it is advisable to verify the coverage.

• If you are dissatisfied with the endpoint or have forgotten to set it while alongside the wagon, you can conveniently adjust it by dragging the marker on the map.
