Never miss an irrigation stop
Lukas Tölkes runs a 120-hectare farm in Germany, growing potatoes, red and white cabbage, beetroot and maize. Irrigation is handled by four hose reels, with around 90% of the irrigation powered by mobile diesel pumps.
Moving pumps from field to field creates a very practical challenge: sometimes refuelling gets forgotten.
“If a pump stops, the Irrigation Sensor alerts me immediately. It also warns me about hose bursts and low pressure.”
For Lukas, this immediate notification is one of the biggest benefits of the 7Sense Irrigation Sensor. The app sends a push notification and sounds an alarm when something unexpected happens during irrigation.
But the sensor provides value beyond alarms.
“My employee can also see where the machine has already been and where irrigation is still needed.”
For Lukas and his team, this means better visibility of irrigation operations and the confidence of knowing quickly when something goes wrong.
